I went to work today and had a good day, which is a really good thing.
A 45-minute drive to work went well, with only the last 20 minutes with twinges of pain in my right hip. I spent the day catching up on email and phone mail. I had to pull out the Motrin and Aleve at least once each, but only had to take my Vicodin this morning when I woke up.
I took my muscle relaxers every 6 hours, on the dot.
I made it through the day, virtually pain-free. I got work done. I walked around. I went to lunch. I sat at my computer for hours and did real work.
It was a good day.
I paid attention to the details of my current limitations, according to my doctor. I paid attention to the limitations of my body, as evidenced by pain whenever I tried to do something I wasn’t supposed to.
So, here I am, at the end of my first day back, and I survived. Let’s see how tomorrow goes.
Does this count as my happiness post?
