The Houston Association of Black Journalists will host a workshop at Texas Southern University on June 17 to give community-based groups and nonprofit organizations tips on dealing with the media.
Participants are asked to make a $20 donation, with the money going toward the association’s scholarship fund. Scheduled participants include several local broadcast and print journalists.
The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon in the Sterling Student Life Center on the TSU campus. Reservations are required by Thursday and may be made at 713-221-3220.
