charities have a good year in 2006

I consider this good news.

Charities see fund-raising increases in 2006
— reported by the Houston Business Journal

The Association of Fundraising Professionals, in its 2006 State of Fundraising report, on Monday reported that 69 percent of charities saw some increase in income, with 25 percent of charities seeing increases of 50 percent or more.

Of the remainder, 24 percent raised less money and 7 percent raised about the same amount as in 2005.
