Pew Internet published a report that, basically, says that the average Internet user doesn’t have a lot of knowledge about new technologies:

The average American internet user is not sure what podcasting is, what an RSS feed does, or what the term “phishing†means
I guess this means that we have to do a better job of making this mainstream.
