del.icio.us

I’ve just started using del.icio.us and am slowly coming around to appreciate it.

I’ll admit that I’ve had a del.icio.us account for a while, but never saw a reason to use it. I mean, I’ve figured out a way to keep my bookmarks synchronized between all my computers, so why else would I need a bookmarking tools?

For a lot, it seems.

So, what is del.icio.us?

del.icio.us is a social bookmarks manager. It allows you to easily add sites you like to your personal collection of links, to categorize those sites with keywords, and to share your collection not only between your own browsers and machines, but also with others.

Truthfully, the thing I like best is being able to add descriptions or codewords on which I can do a search later. That alone is worth the trouble of recreating my bookmarks file.
