Diet Update — January 6

I weighed myself this morning. I’m not sure if that half pound the scale says I lost is real or water weight. Oh well, as least it didn’t show an increase.

9:00 AM — I had the second half of yesterday frittata (or rather the 1/3 I left myself) over a toasted sourdough English muffing with Pepper Jack cheese. Looking at the calorie count for the meal, I probably could have done without the cheese. That would have saved me some calories. I need to get in the habit of not adding those little extras. As I move forward, that’s going to make all the difference between success and failure.

2:00 PM — I met a friend for lunch today. More of a lunch meeting, true business, than a friendly chat. We were supposed to meet at Berryhill on Westpark (which I now know is closed) and ended up at Chili’s. So lunch for me was half a guiltless buffalo grilled chicken sandwich with seasonal veggies and three (yes three) cups of coffee.

8:00 PM — for some strange reason I’ve been craving a parrillada all afternoon. So I ended up at Taqueria Arandas for a mixed grill parrillada. It was really really good. I only had two tortillas, but I did eat the rice and beans. Did I mention that it was really good? 🙂
