The Children’s Museum of Houston is going to open a satellite location on Sugar Land. The Children’s Myseum of Houston Discovery Center at Sugar Land Town Square will open on June 1.
The Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown area was one of three cities that has the largest fall in unemployment for March 2007. The unemployment rate for Houston was 4.1 percent. This news comes as the national unemployment rate for April is reported as rising.
Houston continues to lead the nation in late mortgage payments and foreclosures (I think it’s actually the county area that’s leading in foreclosures). Reportedly, “In the Houston area, 4.38 percent of loans were 30 or more days late during the first quarter of 2007, compared with 2.04 percent during the same period last year, according to data provided by Moody’s Economy.com.”
