The City of Houston is holding a town hall meeting to discuss the city’s public safety.
From the Houston Chronicle:
A panel with Police Chief Harold Hurtt, Fire Chief Phil Boriskie, Harris County Precinct 6 Constable Victor Trevino and City Councilman Adrian Garcia, who organized the event, will address the city’s public safety issues.
Houston’s director of Public Safety & Homeland Security, Dennis Storemski, will discuss the Community Emergency Response Team program.
The program certifies and teaches citizens how to become first responders in emergency situations.
The meeting will be 6 to 8 p.m. at Ripley House, 4410 Navigation.
