High ozone levels in county prompt air quality warning
— reported by the Houston ChronicleThe Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services has issued an air quality warning for the county today and Saturday with peak levels expected around 11 a.m.

Health effects of elevated levels of ozone include coughing, throat irritation and breathing difficulties. Physical activity allows ozone to penetrate deeper into the lungs. The warning for Saturday extends to Galveston and Brazoria counties.
