Questions to answer before moving to a non-profit

I know that life in a non-profit looks like all sunshine and rainbows (you hear the sarcasm, right?), but it may not be a good fit for you. The Harvard Business Review recommends that you take a good look at your motivations before you make the jump. To do that, you’ll need to answer three critical questions:

  1. Why do you really want to make this move?
  2. How do you feel about your current nonprofit involvements, whether as a volunteer or board member?
  3. What do others think of your plans to switch sectors?

Read the post for more information on each question, on how that affects your decision.
