According to an article in the Houston Business Journal:
Fender benders are costing Houston-area employers almost four years of worker productivity each week.
That is according to auto insurer Progressive Corp., which says Houston-area motorists get in over 90,000 car accidents every year — or about 1,700 a week and 245 a day. About 40 percent of drivers involved in crashes, it says, report spending four or more days managing the process of getting their vehicles repaired.
That’s an impressive number. Maybe if the insurance companies made the process easier, it would involve fewer days of hassle. Just a thought.
